The Glow Compassionate Presence Circle is a welcoming gathering where people are invited to arrive exactly as they are.

There is nothing to fix.
Nothing to perform.
Nothing to prove.

Only a quiet invitation to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and experience the healing power of compassionate human presence.

In a culture that often celebrates productivity over presence, this circle offers something different.

A place to pause.

A place to breathe.

A place where your nervous system can soften in the company of others.

What is Compassionate Presence?

Compassionate presence is the practice of offering another person our full attention without judgement, interruption, advice, or the need to change their experience.

Many of us spend our lives trying to solve one another's problems.

Yet often, what heals us most is simply knowing someone is willing to stay present with us.

To listen.

To witness.

To honour our experience.

When we feel genuinely seen and accepted, our nervous system begins to settle. From that place of safety, clarity and resilience can naturally emerge.

During Our Circle

Each gathering unfolds gently and may include:

  • Guided arrival meditation

  • Gentle somatic practices for nervous system regulation

  • Mindful breathing

  • Silent reflection

  • Optional sharing circle

  • Compassionate listening in pairs or small groups

  • Journalling prompts

  • Time for integration over herbal tea

Sharing is always optional.

Listening is participation.

Simply being present is enough.

Our Community Agreements

Together we create a space that feels safe for everyone.

We agree to:

  • Listen deeply without interrupting.

  • Resist the urge to fix, analyse, or advise.

  • Speak from our own experience.

  • Respect confidentiality.

  • Welcome every emotion with compassion.

  • Honour silence as much as words.

  • Meet one another with curiosity, kindness, and respect.

Who This Circle Is For

This circle welcomes adults of all backgrounds who are seeking a slower, more compassionate way of connecting with themselves and others.

You may feel drawn here if you are:

  • Navigating change or uncertainty

  • Living with grief, PTSD, stress or burnout

  • Longing for meaningful human connection

  • Highly sensitive or neurodivergent

  • Caring for others and needing a space to be cared for

  • Curious about mindfulness, somatics, or personal growth

  • Simply wanting to feel less alone

No experience is necessary.

Only a willingness to arrive with an open heart.

Your Facilitator

Julia Tobin is the founder of Glow Somatics and a trauma-informed somatic practitioner, yin yoga teacher, holistic therapist, artist, and creative.

She believes that one of the greatest gifts we can offer another person is our undivided, compassionate presence.

Her circles blend nervous system education, mindfulness, gentle somatic practices, and authentic human connection to create spaces where people feel safe enough to simply be themselves.

A Gentle Invitation

Perhaps you've been carrying more than anyone realises.

Perhaps you've been the one everyone else leans on.

Or perhaps you're simply longing for genuine conversation in a world full of noise.

Whatever brings you here, you are welcome.

Come exactly as you are.

Leave feeling a little lighter, a little more grounded, and reminded that healing doesn't always happen through advice—it often begins when we are truly seen.

A Gift Economy

The Glow Compassionate Presence Circle is offered on a pay-what-you-feel basis.

There is no fixed fee to attend.

If you are in a season where you can give generously, your contribution helps make the circle accessible to someone who may not be able to.

If you are in a season where finances feel limited, you are equally welcome.

This is a community rooted in compassion, not transaction.

If the circle nourishes you and you would like to support its continuation, you are invited to offer a donation that feels meaningful and sustainable for you.

Every contribution helps us continue creating spaces where people can gather, connect, and remember that they do not have to carry life's challenges alone.
